Sony Joy is Co-founder & Co-CEO at MobME Wireless Solutions. Having worked closely with major telecom operators for over 6 years in regards to a wide variety of products in the VAS & Network Solutions space, Sony has tremendous understanding of the Telecom Ecosystem, Product Development Lifecycle, User behavior & Scalability. He is passionate about technology but at the same time relates easily with ground realities and with a good focus on profitability, helps transition a concept into a viable product. MobME grew into one of the leading players in the Indian VAS industry with more than 160 employees & presence in over 15 cities under his leadership skills.

Sony also serves on the boards of a diverse set of startup companies in the technology, design, media, retail & advertising domains bringing great exposure & understanding to the table. Gshoppe, MobME’s retail subsidiary, aims to establish 250 franchisee stores across Kerala in the next 2 years and is already on the right track with over 60 outlets spread across 9 districts. A Gold Medalist in School, Sony scored 99.9 percentile in Kerala Engineering Entrance & graduated from College of Engineering, Trivandrum with a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication.

Under the able leadership of Sony, MobME has won numerous awards & recognitions like NASSCOM Innovation Award, ISBA Entrepreneurship Award, NASSCOM Emerge50 Award, Bloomberg UTV CXO Award, Wallstreet Journal – Mint Award etc. Sony is also Chief Evangelist of Startup Village, MobME’s Not-for-profit initiative aiming to become one of the World’s Largest Incubators.
